In this camp, young artists will use stencils and botanicals to create images and prints. They will be able to explore a few different ways to print by creating collagraph plates and using our various printing tools—including REACH's very own printing press machine—to make mobiles, collages, and prints for display. This camp runs from June 16 - 20, 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm.
Press & Print is taught by Karen McGettigan. Karen is a REACH Teaching Artist whose mediums include photography, writing, acrylic paint, alcohol ink, fabric, thread, yarn, wool, wire, and paper. Her work includes collage, fairy sculptures, painting, poetry, and her current passion, mono-printing on Gelli plates. Karen has taught throughout her life and became a REACH Teaching Artist last summer.
Full and Partial Scholarship options are available for all REACH camps! Please check out the Scholarship and Enrollment page under the Summer Camp tab to learn more about our scholarship opportunities as well as our refund policy.
