A Not So Silent Night

Join us for REACH Studio Art Center’s 20th annual A Not So Silent Night fundraiser. Put on your party attire as we roll out the red carpet to celebrate the work of REACH and fundraise to support equitable access to arts programming in the Greater Lansing area. The evening will include light appetizers, music, and an art-filled silent auction. Donations to this event are tax-deductible, and all proceeds directly support REACH’s 20-year legacy of providing free and sliding-scale fee arts programs for all ages and abilities.

The first few weeks of the fall term are off to a beautiful start. The building is buzzing with energy, and classes are filled with opportunities for students to express themselves creatively through art making. From drawing, painting, sewing, clay throwing, and even movie making, new skills are being developed, and techniques are being mastered. We still have 4-week classes and workshop opportunities available this fall—come join us at REACH!

Creative Tots – Little hands make big art in this four-week class for 2–5-year-olds and their caregivers. The next 4-week session starts Oct. 28.

Casual Clay – Come play with clay. Adults can try out the wheel during our next Adult Casual Clay Wheel Session on Oct. 27, and kids can create a hand-built clay piece during our two-session Casual Clay and Play workshop hosted on Oct. 28/Nov. 14.

Abstract Landscape Watercolor – Develop your watercolor painting skills while our teaching artist guides you through creating an abstract landscape painting during this in-depth two-week workshop hosted Oct. 28/Nov. 4.

Book Making – Mondays this November and December, we offer four (!) unique and exciting book-making workshops that combine visual and literary arts. Nov. 27, Dec. 4, Dec. 11, and Dec. 18

Life Drawing- Drop in and do art! Open to all abilities and experience levels, our life drawing classes are facilitated by a teaching artist . Wednesday’s virtual class (adults only) includes a nude model, while Friday’s in-person class (14+) has a live clothed model.
