NEIGHBORHOOD CAMP HYPE (AUG 12th-15th)
We're excited to welcome you to the second week of our FREE Neighborhood Camp! Families from REO Town, Moores River, and Fabulous Acres can join us for four days of fun and educational art experiences. Camp runs from August 12th-15th, 1:30-3:30 PM, with a unique activity each day. Kids ages 6-7 are invited to join with an adult caregiver, and we welcome children up to 13 years old. REACH SUMMER CAMP: END OF SUMMER ART SHOW
As we dive into the second half of summer camp at REACH, we continue to be amazed by the incredible artwork our campers are creating. From comics and paintings to prints, upcycled sculptures, and more, their imagination shines brighter each week, and we love watching their creativity unfold. We’re thrilled to share that many of these fantastic pieces will be featured in our upcoming ‘End of Summer Art Show.’ Join us on August 15 from 6:00-7:00 pm to see a selection of works from each of our camps. FUELING ART WITH FACILITY UPGRADES
For twenty years, REACH has been a cornerstone of creative engagement in the arts at our REO Town location. What began as a single studio has expanded to over 10,000 square feet, providing ample space for artistic expression.
To ensure a welcoming environment for creativity, we've recently invested in building maintenance projects. Additionally, we're excited to introduce a “new to us” Art Van, which will help transport supplies and our teaching artists to community events and local organizations serving youth.
We’re grateful for the community’s support and invite you to contribute to our summer Fuel REACH/Fuel Art Fundraiser. Your donation will support ongoing facility improvements and maintenance for the Art Van. Our goal is to raise $2,500 to enhance REACH’s facility and expand our outreach.
REACH AT CAP CITY BREAKING JAM
We are thrilled to be part of this year's Cap City Breaking Jam! Hosted by All of the Above Hip Hop, the 3rd annual Breaking competition for kids and adults takes place at the Downtown Lansing Shuffle. Join us at the riverfront for the breaking battles and some incredible breaking performances from the Judges, and don't miss REACH with our pastel fan project. The event kicks off at 11 AM and runs until 8 PM, with REACH activities available from 12-2 PM. Participation and watching the performances are free of charge.

UPCOMING OPEN HOUSE: on September 14 from 6:00-9:00 the REACH Youth Art Council & students from All of the Above Youth Organization are hosting an open house featuring collaborative art activities, food, and an open mic.
ART IN SEQUENCE - Art and Illustrations Inspired by Comics: REACH’s fall exhibition will featured the work of a group of talented artists inspired by comics. Join is for an open house/artists talk on September 21 from 1:00-4:00 in conjunction with the Lansing LIT Festival. The exhibition will run from September 6-October 15.
