REACH Launches Crowdfunder to complete its facility Main Hub
Date: November 12, 2015- December 14, 2015Location: Online www.patronicity.com/reachphase2REACH is launching an “all or nothing” crowdfunder campaign to raise $30,000 (or more!) in its effort to provide larger art education spaces for Lansing area youth and adults. This expansion will quadruple REACH’s current classroom space, adding 2 large classrooms: one classroom for a growing Teen Studio program and the other classroom to serve up to 30 students per class for programs currently running in a classroom half the size. The project also includes a lobby/welcome area--something REACH has never had in its 12 year history! Crowdfunder campaign donors can learn more about the project and make their donations online between November 12th and December 14th at: www.patronicity.com/reachphase2. Offline donations are also accepted by checks to: REACH Studio, 1804 S Washington Ave, Lansing MI 48910.Last year, REACH Studio Art Center conducted a crowdfunding campaign on Patronicity.com that successfully raised more than its goal of $48,000 and was matched by a Public Spaces Community Places Grant from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation. The $98,000 was used to complete the Gallery and Courtyard phase of the multi-phase expansion project.REACH Studio Art Center is a non-profit art studio located in the south end of REO Town district which provides art education to Greater Lansing youth and adults. Many of REACH’s youth programs are free for qualifying families. REACH hosts over 1800 student enrollments in a year of programming at the studio, with thousands of additional youth and adults who benefit from programs REACH runs away from its facility.
