Summer Camp Intern(s)

 SUMMER CAMP INTERN major responsibilities will be to assist REACH Summer Camp teachers in prepping and delivering daily art lessons, facilitating student learning, and supervising check-in/check-out and snack breaks.SKILLS NEEDED:  Applicants should have at least junior standing in college with excellent organizational and leadership skills.  The applicant should understand the value of art education and be comfortable, patient and enthusiastic in working with children. The applicant should be capable of performing a variety of responsibilities concurrently, committed to and responsible for showing up when scheduled, and embrace REACH’s mission and core values.  Art Ed, Education, Child and Family Studies, or Social Work majors are encouraged to apply.TIME OBLIGATION AND COMPENSATION:  Intern will be expected to work for 7 to 9 weeks of Summer Camp, from 8:00am-5:00pmMonday through Friday from mid-June through August with a maximum stipend of $350 per week ($10 per hour).  Compensation will not be made for canceled camp days or weeks.  We may split the position into two positions (one am and one pm intern), or three (Monday-Thursday am and pm and one Friday intern) based on interviews and needs of applicants.  Please send your resume and letter of inquiry to Joy Baldwin via email to joy@REACHstudioart.org by May 1, 2017.  Interviews will occur from May 3-12 with the position beginning mid-June.

Art Truck Intern

ART TRUCK INTERN major responsibilities will be to assist the REACH Art Truck Coordinator in prepping and delivering art lessons, facilitating student learning, and helping to supervise children during art activities.SKILLS NEEDED:  Applicants should have at least junior standing in college with excellent organizational and leadership skills.  The applicant should understand the value of art education and be comfortable, patient and enthusiastic in working with children. The applicant should be capable of performing a variety of responsibilities concurrently, committed to and responsible for showing up when scheduled, and embrace REACH’s mission and core values.  Art Ed, Education, Child and Family Studies, or Social Work majors are encouraged to apply.TIME OBLIGATION AND COMPENSATION:  This internship is for six weeks, two days a week (one 8 hour and one 6 hour day) from mid-June through July.  Pay for this internship is up to $150 per week (or $10 per hour).  Please send your resume and letter of inquiry to Joy Baldwin via email to joy@REACHstudioart.org by May 1, 2017.  Interviews will occur from May 3-12 with the position beginning mid-June.
