June Huber (mother of Reach's founding director Alice Brinkman) born May 8, 1926, passed away February 11, 2010 from Alzheimer's disease. June was instrumental in both developing Alice's creative passions and in modeling a life of compassion and reaching out to others. A musician herself, she supported and encouraged Alice's creative endeavors, including Alice's decision to begin an art center (Reach Studio) where the joys of art making could be shared with local youth and many others. Donations in her honor will be used to support scholarships for at risk youth to enroll in art classes at Reach Studio.
